I just need the settings
Regions¶
As of June 1st, 2026, flood messages will require a scope of ioi, sco, iom to be repeated to the Island of Ireland from outside the island (and for messages to leave the island). Short answer: In the EU/UK area, a MeshCore Mesh supports 672 messages/hour before service starts to degrade and be unreliable. Without Regions and using Scopes, that means every person on the Islands of Ireland and Great Britain are in one big mesh, sharing the same pool of 672 messages (and adverts, path requests, and other things you don't see but make the mesh function). We are implementing scopes to ensure the network operates reliably for everyone on the Island. See Regions for more information.

ioi: set this specifically for#ireland,#norniron, and#test, you can optionally make this default under Experimental Settings on your clientsco: use this for sending messages in#scotlandiom: use for sending messages in#manx
- Path Hash Size:
- Under Experimental Settings, set your Default Path Hash Size to
3-byte(you can set it to 2-byte also, but 3-byte is most accurate, but don't leave it at 1-byte)

- Loop Detection: Minimal (
set loop.detect minimal) - Path has mode: 3-byte (

More details on Repeater Setup
Hey I want to put a Repeater at X! Where now?¶
Check out MeshMapper to see the realtime view of the Island's coverage. You can see where a location could help improve reception. Join the Discord and check the #locations channel, it is full of threads dedicated to locations we've already put repeaters or planned to put them, so there may be a place near you already, that just needs a volunteer to setup a repeater.
You might not have to supply the repeater, there may be spare ones that can be made available for a key location to get coverage.
